MMS DJ Tutor, Mark One has an impressive record. Early in his career, he became a Northwest DMC champion, and co-produced several radio shows on pirate and commercial stations during this time. Since then, he has DJ’d alongside some of the biggest names in the business including Grandmaster Flash, James Lavelle, Fat Boy Slim, Freestylers, Goldie and The Scratch Perverts. He was the support DJ for Madonna at Brixton Academy, and is the personal DJ for Stella McCartney’s fashion shows. He has toured the world as the scratch DJ with the band Texas, and has had several festival and television appearances as a result. He currently holds several residencies in clubs around Manchester.
No previous experience of DJing is necessary to enrol on the basement DJ course.

The First DMC Online DJ Championship Ever begins on Feb. 3rd, 2011 at www.dmcdjonline.com
DMC, originators of the legendary World DJ Championships, have announced a brand new online DJ competition open to any Battle DJ from anywhere in the world: www.dmcdjonline.com
The DMC Online DJ Championship which launches on February 3rd, 2011, is an annual event that promises to promote and progress the art form of the battle DJ by making it accessible to DJs and spectators alike throughout the World.
As well as the impressive title and prizes, The 2011 DMC Online DJ Champion will win an expenses paid trip to the 2011 DMC World DJ Championships in London. He/she will be eligible to enter the live event alongside the World’s national DJ Champions or can opt to showcase his/her winning online battle set live on stage the DMC World Finals.
DJs competing can use any and all equipment in their online battle performances, however the DJ who wins The DMC Online DJ Championship will be required to abide by the rules and equipment stipulations of the live DMC World DJ Championships (which for the first time will allow programs such as Serato Scratch Live) in this year’s competitions, locally and nationally, worldwide.
Launching Thursday, Feb. 3rd, 2011, competitors can upload their filmed 2 minute DJ showcases on Mon Feb 14th , which will go live to the public on March 3rd. The World viewers will vote and select the top 10 finalists, who will then be judged by former DMC World Champions. Fans can vote for as many DJs as they like, but only one time each, per DJ, per round. One champion and one vice-champion will advance every 2 weeks. There will be a total of 11 rounds. If a DJ does not make the top two in one round, he/she can try again and upload a set in any of the following rounds. While anyone may watch and vote on the DJ submissions for free, DJs will pay a £5 entry fee per upload.
The DMC Online DJ Championship Final will be held in August, 2011. The final top 22 DJ contenders standing will each film and upload a full 6 minute showcase style DJ set. The worldwide audience will vote again to select the best of the best 10 finalists who will then be judged by former DMC World Champions.
The World’s most creative DJs are now preparing to take part in the biggest DJ Championships in the world!
